Thanks to the initiative and efforts of Natasha El-Sergany and Dante Trevisani, the new South Florida Chapter of the NLG had its first meeting in Miami on April 21, 2011. We had 15 attendees, and several others who could not attend are also interested in joining the chapter. The South Florida chapter will meet on the third Thursday of every month, with the location to be announced prior to meeting time. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m. at Kabobji Restaurant in North Bay Village, 1624 79th Street Causeway, Miami. Anyone needing more information can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are very excited about the new chapter, whose presence is definitely needed to further the important work of the Guild in South Florida.
In other news, the NLG Louisiana Chapter will be holding its first General Chapter Meeting this Friday, May 13, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Resurrection After Exoneration (RAE), located at 1212 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans. All lawyers, legal workers, and law students are invited to attend. Some beverages and snacks will be provided. All are invited to bring a drink or dish to share. Anyone needing more information can send an email to Carol Kolinchak at email@example.com.
If any other chapters are planning upcoming meetings and would like to post their information here, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org (or click on the “contacts” link here for other contact information). Thanks, everyone!
